Blueberry Protein Smoothie

This smoothie has been called the Wakey Monkey Smoothie in my recent meals. That’s its original name because it’s from a little café in Saluda, North Carolina called Wakey Monkey Café. This is my copycat version of the smoothie because I loved it so much, I had to recreate it. My version is a little bit different than the original version but it’s still an amazing smoothie that has been on repeat in my meal plans.

Blueberry Protein Smoothie

This smoothie is a great start to your day. It’s refreshing and filling!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries

  • 1 banana

  • 3/4 cup oat or almond milk

  • 1 tablespoon PB2

  • 2 scoops protein powder

Directions

  • Add all ingredients to a blender.
  • Blend until smooth.

Notes

  • You may add ice or additional oat/almond milk to reach your desired consistency.

Strawberry Mint Protein Smoothie

This smoothie is simple and refreshing. It’s a great start to your morning or it’s an awesome snack!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 banana
  • 3/4 cup oat milk (or almond milk)
  • 1/2 cup spinach
  • 5-6 mint leaves
  • 2 scoops chocolate protein powder

To Make It

  • Place all ingredients in a blender.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Add ice cubes if needed to reach desired consistency.

Strawberry Banana Protein Smoothie (makes 1 serving)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen unsweetened strawberries
  • 1/2 medium banana
  • 1/2 cup spinach
  • 2 scoops chocolate protein powder (I use Arbonne’s)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

To Make It

  • Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth.

Nutrition – 324 calories, 5 grams fat, 46.9 grams carbohydrate, 8.4 grams fiber, 22.9 grams protein

Cherry Vanilla Almond Smoothie (makes 1 serving)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen unsweetened cherries
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons almond butter
  • 3/4 cup spinach
  • 1/2 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon raw cacao nibs

To Make It

  • Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth.

Nutrition – 330 calories, 19.4 grams fat, 33.4 grams carbohydrate, 8.2 grams fiber, 7.1 grams protein

Superfood PB Banana and Cacao Green Smoothie (makes 1 serving)

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 tablespoons powdered peanut butter
  • 1/2 frozen ripe banana
  • 1 heaping tablespoon cacao nibs
  • 2 scoops vanilla protein powder
  • 1 cup ice

To Make It

  • Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth.

Nutrition – 354 calories, 12.6 grams fat, 37.2 grams carbohydrate, 9.3 grams fiber, 26.9 grams protein
