Smoothies have been my go-to breakfast option for some time now. They’re quick and easy. They’re delicious. They’re nutritious. Here are 3 of my favorite smoothie recipes.
Strawberry Banana Protein Smoothie (makes 1 serving)
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen unsweetened strawberries
- 1/2 medium banana
- 1/2 cup spinach
- 2 scoops chocolate protein powder (I use Arbonne’s)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
To Make It
- Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth.
Nutrition – 324 calories, 5 grams fat, 46.9 grams carbohydrate, 8.4 grams fiber, 22.9 grams protein
Cherry Vanilla Almond Smoothie (makes 1 serving)
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen unsweetened cherries
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 tablespoons almond butter
- 3/4 cup spinach
- 1/2 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1/2 tablespoon raw cacao nibs
To Make It
- Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth.
Nutrition – 330 calories, 19.4 grams fat, 33.4 grams carbohydrate, 8.2 grams fiber, 7.1 grams protein

Superfood PB Banana and Cacao Green Smoothie (makes 1 serving)
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 tablespoons powdered peanut butter
- 1/2 frozen ripe banana
- 1 heaping tablespoon cacao nibs
- 2 scoops vanilla protein powder
- 1 cup ice
To Make It
- Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth.
Nutrition – 354 calories, 12.6 grams fat, 37.2 grams carbohydrate, 9.3 grams fiber, 26.9 grams protein
