My Nutrition Philosophy

I often refer to myself as a “bad” dietitian because I don’t eat 100% “good” foods. But I’m not at all a bad dietitian. I’m a dietitian who is human. I understand that it’s not easy to eat healthy all the time but I also understand that, in general, healthy eating is critical component to living a healthy lifestyle.

I’m a dietitian who loves pizza and hamburgers. I’m a dietitian who enjoys creating smoothies that are full of fruit and veggies.  I’m a dietitian who would rather not eat kale or Brussel sprouts. I’m a dietitian who thinks salad should be part of almost all meals. I’m a dietitian who eats out without guilt and who {insert gasp} sometimes has to eat fast food. I’m a dietitian who understands the difficult reality of always eating healthy.

I firmly believe that there is a place for ALL foods in your diet…and when I say diet, I mean the way you eat, not the restricting food definition. I believe that you can be healthy and still eat out. I believe that eating ice cream is part of life.

These beliefs and practicality are what I bring to My Friendly Nutrition. My Friendly Nutrition is a place where you will not be judged for eating a cheeseburger but it’s also a place where healthy food and nutrition will not be your enemy. My Friendly Nutrition is a place where your life and your goals come together to create a nutrition plan to works for you.
